Facilities
Members of the University are entitled to use a wide range of academic, welfare, social and sporting facilities. You can read more about these here. In addition to the services and facilities offered by the central University, you will also be entitled to use the facilities at your own college (for information on the role of colleges please see the College Guide). When you come to choose your college as part of the application process (see How to Apply) you may wish to consider its facilities, resources, funding opportunities and location within Oxford before making a decision. Your accommodation during the summer residences is provided at New College regardless of college membership (see below).

As a student of Oxford University you will be entitled to use the resources of the University's main reference library, the Bodleian, which includes the Bodleian Law Library. You will also have access to your college library (college libraries are only open to college members). All library services will be available to you when you are in Oxford and extensive electronic resources are available online when you are away from Oxford.
Provision for students with disabilities
Applications from students with disabilities are viewed on exactly the same academic grounds as those from other candidates.
The University is committed to making reasonable adjustments to enable those with disabilities to participate fully in their course. Information and advice for people with disabilities may be obtained either from the Student Advisor within the Department for Continuing Education on registry@conted.ox.ac.uk or +44 (0)1865 280355, or from the University Disability Advisor on disability@admin.ox.ac.uk or +44 (0)1865 280459.
Accommodation during summer residential sessions
Accommodation and meals during the residential sessions are provided at New College, one of Oxford’s largest and most beautiful colleges. This
accommodation is offered to everyone regardless of college membership so that all students on the course can work and socialise together as a community while in Oxford. New College is also the venue for the Summer School in International Human Rights Law in July/August with which some optional events are organised.
Participants will have a single study bedroom in New College with private bathroom facilities. There are a limited number of double rooms for students wishing to bring partners. Students planning to bring children to the residential session should discuss their accommodation requirements with the Programme Administrator if they are offered a place as New College may not be able to offer suitable rooms. Double rooms and guest rooms in college are subject to availability and incur a fee. Partners and children are welcome to attend most of the meals/events although there will be a charge for this.
Sports facilities
The University Sports Centre is located near to New College and represents the central focus for University sport. The complex exists primarily for the use of University members, students and staff and includes a gym, swimming pool, running track and racquet sports. For more information, please see http://www.sport.ox.ac.uk. In addition, your own college is likely to have sports facilities which will be available to you and residents of New College will also have access to tennis, squash and croquet facilities.
Computing facilities
During the Summer School, word processing and computing facilities are provided in New College and are accessible 24 hours a day. Facilities are also available in the Bodleian Law Library. For the distance-taught parts of the course students use an interactive website for their discussions. IT support is available.
